Protease-activated receptor-4 activating peptide derived from murine PAR-4. This peptide was able to cause rat platelet aggregation with an EC50 value of 40 ?M. Its effect on leucocyte rolling and adherence points at a role of PAR-4 in mediating proinflammatory processes. The family of at least seven transmembrane G protein coupled receptors includes at least four receptor subtypes (PAR1, PAR2, PAR3, PAR4). PAR4 activating peptides, GYPGKF-NH2 and AYPGKG-NH2, produce concentration dependent contractile effects on the muscle.ONE-LETTER SEQUENCE: GYPGKF-NH2MOLECULAR FORMULA: C33H46N8O7MOLECULAR WEIGHT:666.78STORAGE CONDITIONS: -20 5C, CAS REGISTRY NUMBER: [245443-52-1], RESEARCH AREA: HematologyREFERENCES: N.Vergnolle, J.
